Due to the number of incoming calls received this week, our phone system was overwhelmed. We realize this only added frustration to the anxiousness our members were experiencing. We were able to make a few modifications to our phone system, which consequently allowed us to increase the number of Call Center workers.
Having said that, we were still able to receive and process an incredible number of incoming calls this week. We ran some reports this morning and came up with the number of calls received in the Call Center during the peak of the outage:
- Tues, 9/29: 4,131
- Wed, 9/30: 5,487
- Thur, 10/1: 3,487
This outage is being worked by nearly all of the employees across the co-op. Those that aren’t working the outage have stepped up to provide coverage for the normal business activities. Be assured that all facets of GVEA work hard for all of our members, but especially during challenging times like widespread outages.
